AVEE vs Surfshark

Surfshark is often the "budget" pick among the big brands: unlimited devices per account, an audited no-logs policy, apps everywhere, and NoBorders/Camouflage modes for censored networks. AVEE is cheaper still ($1–3/month vs $12.99 no-commitment), with its own apps for Android and Windows only (any VLESS client works on other platforms), and a camouflaged VLESS/Reality transport that is always on. Surfshark gives you more product; AVEE gives you a lower price and less to configure.

Price and devices

Surfshark's headline feature is unlimited simultaneous devices on one account, which is genuinely useful for a household. Its no-commitment monthly is $12.99 (much less on long plans). AVEE is $1–3/month but caps devices at 2 to 5 by plan, and the $1/$2 tiers are metered by data. If you need to cover a whole family's phones, laptops and TV, Surfshark's model fits better. If it is one or two devices and a small monthly budget, AVEE is far cheaper.

Getting past censorship

Surfshark has NoBorders (auto-detects restrictive networks) and Camouflage (obfuscation), which activate on top of WireGuard/OpenVPN. AVEE's single transport is VLESS + Reality, camouflaged as HTTPS by default and built to resist active probing — nothing to switch on. On an unrestricted network Surfshark on WireGuard will usually be faster; on a network that fingerprints protocols (see how ISPs block VPNs), AVEE removes the "which mode do I pick" step.

Breadth and trust

Surfshark covers iOS, macOS, Linux, TVs and browsers, publishes independent audits, and is part of Nord Security — an established operation with support. AVEE is Android + Windows, no published audit, a small operation. For multi-platform households or anyone who wants an audit on record, Surfshark is the safer pick.

FAQ

Is AVEE cheaper than Surfshark?
Yes on a no-commitment basis — AVEE is $1–3/month vs Surfshark's $12.99. Surfshark is cheaper on multi-year plans, and it allows unlimited devices where AVEE allows 2–5.
Does AVEE allow unlimited devices?
No. AVEE allows 2 devices on the $1 plan, 3 on the $2 plan, and 5 on the $3 unlimited plan. Surfshark allows unlimited devices per account.
Which is better for a country that blocks VPNs?
Both can work. Surfshark uses NoBorders/Camouflage on top of standard protocols; AVEE runs a camouflaged transport by default. Test whichever on your own connection.
Does AVEE have an iOS app?
No dedicated AVEE iOS app yet, but the subscription link works in third-party VLESS/Reality clients on iPhone, such as Shadowrocket, Stash, V2Box, Happ or Karing.
